The ULTRA COMM+2.LPCI board provides two field selectable serial ports supporting RS-232/422/485 electrical interfaces. Designed using the XR16C850 UART, the ULTRA COMM+2.LPCI supports standard PC data rates and boasts a top speed of 460.8K bps. The XR16C850 provides a 128-byte FIFO to allow datacom applications to run error free. For application requiring non-standard baud rates, the board is available with an optional OX16C950 UART.

The ULTRA COMM+2.LPCI meets the requirements for the MD1 "Low Profile" specification as defined by PCISIG in PCI 2.2 "Low Profile Addendum." We ship each adapter with both the low profile bracket and the standard profile PCI slot bracket, offering the customer versatility in installation. The ULTRA COMM+2.LPCI also features a Universal Bus (3.3V and 5.0V) as required by PCISIG specification 2.3.

We include our Advanced COM drivers for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP providing IRQ sharing, Windows serial diagnostics, and other enhanced features. Our Linux and QNX utilities are also included to simplify installation.
